For the last decade, TransLit
has been a showcase for Canada’s rich multicultural heritage, introducing
short fiction and poetry to readers of diverse languages. This event will focus
on the author/translator relationship and raise awareness of the relevance of
quality literary translation, through readings of original texts and their
translation into and from English, French and Portuguese. A discussion between
audience, authors and translators will take place at the end of the session.
